Times Junction - Siddhpur

On 4th April in 1915, this clock tower was commissioned for the people of Siddhpur, at that time the production cost for this tower was 15000 Indian Rupees. Then it was considered the tallest building in that town. Time was important in Siddhpur because the majority of the population consisted of merchants and traders of all kind.  I came to know about this tower when I was there for another project in 2012.

So during my travels to Siddhpur, I found an old junk shop on the street the near the tower where I found a beat up ‘Agfa Click 3’ in working condition with its original cover, I paid 460 INR in 2012 for that after some negotiations. Fortunately, at that time, I had one roll of 120mm B&W film which was expired for a long time.

These images were made using that Agfa Click 3 from Siddhpur, I walked to different destinations significant in Siddhpur and Photographed the clock tower. On 4th April 2015, this structure turned 100 years old with most of its original pieces as it is and the tower still manages to be one of the tallest structures in Siddhpur.
