Artist Statement 

 

This work querencia speaks about a decade of my story, comprising of my relationships, my home, family and the events that played out. 

 

It has taken me many years to become comfortable with the idea of sharing my experiences. Living through some of these events of my life have made me who I am, and have in many ways made me sensitive to my surroundings & people.

 

We all encounter situations in our lives which are similar. Memories and their sharing are often a way to heal somewhat by relating to those around us and the common courses that life takes us in.

 

Our stories make us, familiar with each other.
